■概要

菱田雄介の個展「border | korea」を開催いたします。菱田雄介は 2009 年より北朝鮮、韓国で撮影を 重ね、分断がつづく朝鮮半島の北と南のイメージを並置した組写真で構成される写真集『border | korea』 (2017 年 12 月・リブロアルテ)を発表しました。作品集と同名の展覧会「border | korea」は、収録 作品のプリント展示に加え、「Moving Portraits」と題された新作を含むプロジェクションにて構成され ています。

 

「緯度温度」

場所と距離の位相をとらえるための写真展シリーズ全 2 回。同じルーツを持ちながら離れた土地で営ま れるひとびとの生活を撮影する二人の写真家の個展を通じ、差異と類似を含んで並置されるイメージが 呼び起こすものについて考える企画。

菱田雄介

1972 年東京生まれ。写真家・映像ディレクター。著書/写真集に『border | korea』(リブロアルテ、 2017 年)、『2011』(vnc、2014 年)、『アフターマス ~震災後の写真~』(飯沢耕太郎氏との共著 NTT 出版、2011 年)、『BESLAN』(2006 年 新風舎)、『ある日、』(プレイス M/月曜社、2006 年)。『border | korea』にて、第 30 回「写真の会」賞受賞(2018 年)。キヤノン写真新世紀佳作(2008 年・2010 年)、ニコン三木淳奨励賞(2006 年)。歴史とその傍らにある生活をテーマに撮影を続けている。

ARTIST TALK / Yusuke Hishida

 

 

We will hold Yusuke Hishida's solo exhibition "border | korea". He has been taking pictures in North Korea and South Korea since 2009. He published a collection of works "border | korea" (Libro Arte, 2017), which consist of pairs of images that show both the northern and southern sides of the Korean Peninsula. The exhibition "border | korea" shares the name of his previously published collections of prints and projections, but the exhibition also includes new works entitled "Moving Portraits".

 

"Latitudes, Temperatures"

"Latitudes, Temperatures" is a photo exhibition series that captures the phases of location and distance. This series consists of two solo exhibitions of two photographers. The two photographers have documented the lives of people who live in separate lands but have the same roots. In this series, we plan to consider what is evoked by the parallel images, containing the differences and similarities, through the two exhibitions.

Yusuke Hishida

Born in Tokyo in 1972. Photographer / Video Director.

Based in Tokyo, he works document the manifestations of living history.
